Welcome to the Daily Wrocket!

Today is a very exciting day for me. I have been working for the past number of months on getting this site up and running when I do not have all my time dedicated to other pursuits. So here it is – The Daily Wrocket!

At the base level, the Wrocket will be a Band-a-Day Blog featuring purely Wizard Rock bands in all their glory! This will go on every single day for 365 days, so get ready to learn about a ton of awesome bands! On a deeper level, this blog will be an opportunity for me, as a Wizard Rock insider, to take a look at the music and bands and discuss how they have affected the Wrock Community at large.

I know I’m excited!

I have chosen Saturday, November 7, 2009 for the official launch date of the Wrocket. (Get it? Get it? Launch of the Wrocket? *chortles* Just remember, puns used to be considered the highest form of wit! …Used to be…) My reasoning for this is simple, as it is the weekend of the largest Wizard Rock event of the year – Wrockstock. At Wrockstock, I will be having my Official Unofficial “Launch That Wrocket” Party. It will be a personally hosted party, not part of programming in any way. So don’t get those things confused, if you please! If you are going to be at Wrockstock and want to attend, come find me and I’ll give you the details!

As I am taking the timing opportunity of Wrockstock to launch the Daily Wrocket, I have decided to have the first chunk of bands that I write about be the ones performing at the event, whether it be main stage (the Room of Wrockquirement) or the second stage (the Wampum Willow).

So, without further ado, I will leave you to rove the site, learn more about Wizard Rock, the Daily Wrocket, and myself. Enjoy!

Love and Wrock,
Dinah Saur

As a sidenote, The Daily Wrocket is in the process of getting a makeover. The final designs from my amazing Web Designer, Aaron, are in progress, but technical difficulties (someone get that boy to a computer!) mean I will be using a temporary standard design for a short time.
